In the field of Lithium battery manufacturing, the injection precision of electrolytes plays a crucial role in battery capacity consistency and product yield. Take power battery electrolyte (calibrated viscosity of 50cP at 25°C) for an example, with ambient temperature rising from 20°C to 35°C, the actual weight could differ by up to 1.2% in the same injection volume.
The high-precision temperature sensing module (resolution of 0.01°C) integrated onto the injection pump by Guangzhou Ascend captures the medium temperature in real time and transmit it to the controller. Then the system analyses temperature-density relationship curve and automatically correct the injection volume based on the target injection mass parameters. The measured data show that under the working condition of ±15°C, the system can stably control the injection mass difference within ±0.05%, truly realizing the essential upgrade from volume-based injection pumps to mass metering equipment.
Enterprises like Rept Energy, Haichen Energy Storage and CATL have purchased the temperature control system in bulk and achieved stable operation on multiple production lines these days.
During the crucial period when lithium-ion battery manufacturing is advancing toward the TWh era, intelligent temperature compensation technology of Guangzhou Ascend has been verified in a large scale by multiple enterprises and become the core engine to improve manufacturing efficiency and product consistency.
For now, the system can be customized development and adapted to injection equipment of different specifications to provide global customers with comprehensive solutions from single-machine transformation to entire production line upgrading.
